Three weeks ago, Team Elkins was activated to go on Storm. Des Moines, Iowa had been hit with major flooding and their local SERVPRO franchise could not handle the workload alone. With SERVPRO utilizing friendships and others expertise, we can call upon each other for help in times of need. That is exactly what happened with us.

We sent nine crew members, seven vehicles, and even picked up some temporary labor on the way up. With most days consisting of working 16 hours straight, these crew members busted their butts to help put back together the lives of those impacted. The devastation was sad to see, but the transformations of businesses and homes were impressive.

It is hard to prepare for when disaster strikes, but we strive to be as prepared as possible for that moment. We are always ready to help fellow SERVPRO franchises or anyone else who needs it.
