WINTER ROAD CONDITION WARNING!

Wednesday, February 10, 2021 – Thursday, February 11th, 2021, there is a severe ice storm warning for a large portion of Kentucky.  Through these days, it is advised to take extreme caution while traveling, and staying home is encouraged to prevent accidents. Weather.com states that significant ice and snow mixture will be hitting us during these days, and the possibility of power outages and tree damage are both are very high.

This week the temperatures are predicted to continue to stay low. Because of the possibility of power outrages, make sure you take precautions TODAY against frozen pipes in your homes or businesses. A few ways to do this are listed below.

Drip your inside faucets to keep water moving through pipes.

Cover outside faucets with specialized covers. You can get these at most stores, but also through Amazon Prime!

Open interior doors to promote air flow in the home.

Keep garage door closed to keep warm air inside the home or business.

Cabinet doors with pipes in them should be left open to promote warm air flow inside.

If you do experience any type of water loss or leak, give SERVPRO of Daviess County a call. We have experienced crews available to make it “Like it never even happened.”
